AMMUNITION RECYCLING

The way of recycling ammunition is still very much in the stone age. Even in modern society, military and police forces are still exploding bullets to "recycle" shells. For that, miles of area have to be cleared out for safety concerns. On top of that, a majority of the material is wasted.

Dr. Chen-Lu Yang, Dr. Tobias Stapleton, and Mr. Edward Spring have invented this electrochemical device to properly dispose of and recycle ammunition.

With this electrochemical device, ammunition can be appropriately disposed of and recycled. Whereas the traditional method waste most of the material. Now we can recover the majority of material used in ammunition, such as copper, with minimum waste!

functional coatings

antibacterial + antimicrobial

Throughout covid, THETA° has been developing and perfecting a coating that will prevent the spreading of viruses through contact and make everyone feel safe again.

One of THETA°s coatings possesses anti-bacterial / microbial functionality. Meaning it will kill any bacteria and viruses that will come into contact with the surface for up to one year. All you have to do is reapply each year to ensure safety and worry-free environment.

Passive Paper Roofing

Everyone who has been to the city during the summer knows how hot and miserable it can be. Cities retain a massive amount of heat during the summer due to all the concrete and roofing materials. While roofs made of live vegetation seem like an effective solution, they are expensive and more effective in theory.

A promising solution to ambient building heat is being developed at Dr. yi Zhengs Nano Energy laboratory at northeastern university.
